个人简历
长期从事岩石学和行星科学的教学和科研工作,主持承担了包括自然科学基金重点项目在内的20多项科研项目,代表性科技成果包括(1)利用嫦娥三号探月数据首次对月球风暴洋雨海盆地北部的火山活动和次表层结构进行了识别,发现了多期和多样的火山活动产物;(2)对柴达木盆地的类火星地质地貌开展了深入研究,评估了其类比火星地貌及地质环境的科学及工程价值,使之成为国际认可的重要火星-地球类比研究基地;(3)对月球背面嫦娥四号着陆区冯卡门盆地的地质及物质组成提出了新的解释;(4)研制了多种模拟月壤,被工程单位用于月表采样工程试验;(5)提出了峨眉山玄武岩地幔柱与岩石圈相互作用的新模型;(6)通过实验岩石学研究,提出了中国东部高钾埃达克岩的形成机制。发表论文,教材和专著等近200篇(部),论文引用6400多次。科研成果先后获得国家自然科学二等奖,湖北省自然科学一等奖、广东省自然科学一等奖、澳门特别行政区科学技术奖自然科学一等奖,湖北省自然科学二等奖,获得湖北省有突出贡献的中青年专家、优秀博士生指导老师、中国地质大学(武汉)最受大学生欢迎的老师和首届研究生良师益友等荣誉称号等。
担任中国航天局探月与航天工程中心科学顾问、载人航天工程空间科学与应用领域专家组成员、中国科学院空间科学研究院战略专家成员、国防科技工业科学技术委员会宇航与深空领域专业组成员、嫦娥三号和嫦娥四号科学数据研究核心科学家团队组长与副组长,是我国中国首次火星探测科学目标论证组专家、载人登月科学应用深化论证专家组成员、中国首次小行星采样返回科学目标论证专家、南极陨石专家委员会委员。同时担任多个国际行星科学组织与行星科学会议的成员或召集人,多个学术期刊的编委,担任第651次香山会议“行星科学与深空探测”执行主席,等。
发起和组织了东亚行星科学与探测暑期学校(SSPSEEA,Summer School for Planetary Science and Exploration in East Asia, 2016-),是国际月球与行星科学会议(ISLPS,International Symposium on Lunar and Planetary Science)的主要发起人和组织者之一。
创建了中国地质大学(武汉)行星地质与比较行星学学科方向(2009-)和行星科学研究所(2011-),担任首任所长。
